Eduardo Paolozzi 1924-2005

Born in Leith, Edinburgh in 1924 Eduardo Paolozzi has become one of Scotlands best known sculptors. His work features large imposing forms which commonly have gone through some phase of deconstruction or have a sense of cubist elements to them. He was awarded the CBE in 1968 for his services to sculpture and became a member of the Royal Academy in 1979.
